With a master’s degree in Electronics Systems Design and Innovation from NTNU in Trondheim, Alexander developed a strong interest in Machine Learning and Computer Vision. Introduced to Aize through an acquaintance, he explored a master's thesis opportunity with several Aizers. The culture and exciting projects convinced him to join as a summer intern. From day one, Aize stood out as a fun, open, and fast-paced environment. His internship project involved detecting corrosion on refinery tanks using drone footage—an intense six-week experience that refined his ability to explore ideas efficiently, present findings clearly, and make informed decisions.
The collaborative culture at Aize was a decisive factor in Alexander’s pursue a full-time position. The willingness of colleagues to mentor and help one another paved the way for his learning. Early on, he was assigned with important tasks and was given the opportunity to lead real challenges. He then transitioned to a customer-facing role, where he was tasked with managing the testing process for Aize’s first go-live with a key customer. Despite feeling overwhelmed at first, this challenge became a defining moment, proving his ability to lead and coordinate across teams effectively.
Be eager, stay curious, and embrace challenges outside of your comfort zone. Growth comes from taking on new responsibilities, seeking feedback, and utilising the support of those around you.
For him, Aize stands out because of the people and the opportunities. Being surrounded by knowledgeable and supportive colleagues while continuously tackling new challenges is what had made Aize an incredible place to build his career.
